See The USA@PGA
Front and center special rations served up with the American flag motif in sepia tones honoring Special Ops with OGIO’S array of luggage and golf bags. This Marine’s daughter could hear Jamey Johnson’s hit song, “In Color” resonating with the fabric in this first wave of stores.
The message was a hard target to miss as election year coupled with the Olympics are barking at the door. Unlike the service dog that obediently did not greet us at the entry of the 2016 PGA Show being squired by a Veteran there to tout The VGA. I had just learned proper pooch protocols on my flight to the show from my seat mate as he trains these majestic flour legged heroes for the military. I don’t believe in coincidence so I thanked my lucky stars and soldiered forth being flanked by my first mate whose job it is to navigate the arsenal of shopping opportunities in an orderly fashion.
The new car smell of fresh goods could take a back seat as I drank in the enormity of the freedom in which we all delight. And, with my new secret weapon : Magic Mind, a mental energy shot, cool heads remained as the roar of the excited golf addicts all vied for position. We were feeling like Veterans ourselves counting collective years and locations under our PGA belts. Ergo, we work off lists, at least we make a college try at it!
Druh belts are a shoe-in as I have a hand in some extra credit custom designs with them. Their booth was teaming with Juniors so we bee-lined across to Black Clover whose hats match the theme of the luggage which is still tugging at my heartstrings. We had hats and shades high on the list. Check please. Thank you! Wanderlust led us down the plebe aisles where I found a putter placed in my paws. Color me happy. I was draining puts.
Sentio will be getting a personal order from this enthusiast. I was prepared in case I missed as Golf Design had a “dog tag” personalized necklace doing double duty as a ball marker. We tried to be all that we could be and still ran short on time. Blazing our final trail with Antigua as they are are a strong staple in our rations of apparel in our products pantry. New choices, or better put, guesses were ordered.
We passed go and ended up like Vanna White spinning a wheel at Straight Down.
Alas, their menswear is made for men!
The Big, big show was over in a flash. Our “dogs” were barking however, our spirits were high as we decided to adopt Black Clover’s motto and Live Lucky.
